The Office of Human Subject Research Protection (HSRB):
- Educates members of the university community about the ethical principles guiding human subject research.
- Provides assistance to students, faculty and staff in obtaining approval for teaching and research activities under those guidelines.
- Ensures university-wide compliance with federal, state and university statutes and regulations relating to the protection of human subjects.
- Provides central administration to the Northeastern University Institutional Review Board (IRB) and serve as the primary point of contact for all IRB-related issues.
