We are excited to announce two new members of our SSEHRI Core Faculty: Steven Scyphers, a long-standing Affiliate Faculty and member of the WET Lab, will now become a Core Faculty member of SSEHRI. We all appreciate his extensive involvement and are so glad he will take on this new role.
Also joining the Core Faculty is Julia Varshavsky, an incoming Assistant Professor of Health Sciences and Civil and Environmental Engineering. Julia served as a research scientist for the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA, Cal EPA) to conduct biomonitoring studies of health-related chemical exposures, and will be focusing on environmental exposures and maternal-child health outcomes and will continue to work on biomonitoring studies and advancing risk assessment in vulnerable communities.
