We serve full-time undergraduate students and their families enrolled on the Boston campus for the first time in Fall 2024.
MANDATORY FOR STUDENTS. Family participation is optional and highly encouraged.

Registration
- Registration opens in mid April.
- Enrolled students will register themselves and up to 2 guests in the student’s Application Status Check.
- Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Sessions are capped and will close once full.
- If there is a concern with available session dates, please contact us for assistance.
Fees
- Parking, meals, and social activities are complimentary at no cost for both the student and up to 2 guests.
- Mandatory First-Year Student housing is also included at no additional cost.
Travel
Travel should not be arranged until the student is registered for a session.
Housing and Hotels
- First-Year Students are required to stay overnight in an on-campus residence hall with new classmates.
- An Early Arrival option is available for students to stay on campus the night before Orientation (June/July only).
- On-campus accommodations include bed linens, pillow, and towels. Pack essential toiletries, weather appropriate clothing, walking shoes, and athletic wear for evening activities.
- On-campus family housing is not available. Please see our list of area hotels.

First-Year Students
- 2-day program with several college-specific sessions running from late June through late August.
- Required to stay overnight in an on-campus residence hall with new classmates.
- An Early Arrival option is available to stay on campus the night before Orientation (June/July only).

Transfer Students

Global Network and Pathway Program Students
Students who participated in Northeastern’s Global Network (Oakland and/or London) or Pathway Programs (NU Immerse or Foundation Year) from Fall 2023 – Spring 2024, and are enrolled on the Boston campus for the first time in Fall 2024.

Abroad Students
- International students (non-U.S. citizens) must attend the final session in late August/early September after move-in.
- U.S. citizens who reside abroad have the option to attend a summer session or the final session.
Families
- Family Orientation is a separate program that runs concurrent with the student program.
- On-campus family housing is not available. Please see our list of area hotels.
- For families unable to join us in Boston, presentations will be emailed in late summer.
