Be Involved!

There are many ways in which you may become involved in the Co-op Program for International Affairs majors at Northeastern.

Would you be willing to speak to students preparing for co-op, in a classroom setting?
Students are eager to hear about how their classroom education transfers to the workplace and about potential career choices. We invite you, as NU alumni/alumnae, to speak with students about the importance of the Co-op experience to you, what to expect in a Co-op position, and what you have been doing since graduation.

Would you be willing to hire a Co-op student?
Currently, there are over 100 International Affairs majors each academic year seeking Co-op positions. The development of new positions and new employer relationships is a primary focus of the Co-op Program. Please visit the Employer section of this website for additional information about hiring a Co-op student.

Have you considered providing financial support (a full or partial scholarship), enabling a Co-op student to work for a non-profit organization?
If you, or your company, are not able to hire a Co-op student at this time, perhaps you would consider making a contribution that would help support a Co-op student working in a local non-profit agency or performing community service. It is truly a “Win-Win” situation for both the Co-op student and the community.
