The University of Massachusetts School of Medicine held the seventh annual oral health interstitial on August 25th at UMass Memorial in Worcester, MA. With participation from over 125 medical and graduate nursing students, the interstitial curriculum covered oral health across the lifespan and featured interprofessional activities such as peer-to-peer fluoride varnish application and an interactive interprofessional case study. Program Director of Innovations in Interprofessional Oral Health, Ms. Jessica Holloman, and Eileen Wuerthele, a pediatric nurse practitioner student from Northeastern University, participated in the half-day event along with medical and dental professionals from various Boston universities, community health centers, and oral health organizations.
