- Chapter 4: Linear transformations, inner products, orthogonality, Gram-Schmidt process, orthogonal projections, least squares, QR-factorization.
- Chapter 5: Determinants, eigenvalues and eigenvectors, diagonalization, applications to systems of difference and differential equations, Markov processes.
