In August, Dr. Maria Dolce was invited to participate in the 6th annual Physician Assistant (PA) Leadership Summit in Oral Health, held in in Aspen, Colorado. Since the launch of the PA Oral Health Leadership Initiative, leaders in the PA profession have invited oral health champions and stakeholders across all health professions, including nurses, physicians, social workers, and community health workers, to continue the fight for oral health promotion and prevention services in primary care settings. Through collective impact and interprofessional partnerships, the PA profession shared their vision of eradicating dental disease in children and improving lifelong oral health.
New participants at this year’s Summit included the Council on Social Work Education, the Center for Health Impact, PA health system administrators, and the National Center for Interprofessional Practice and Education. These partnerships are just a glimpse of the growing oral health national network.
