Paul Foley – Managing Director, CG Capital Markets

Paul Foley is a Managing Director at CG Capital Markets LLC, a US-based broker dealer with offices in New York, New Jersey, North Carolina and Florida. His responsibilities include sourcing and executing corporate finance transactions for the firm. Previously, Mr. Foley was a Managing Director and the Head of Financial Sponsors at a private equity firm in New York City. He sourced, executed and monitored numerous portfolio investments as well as managed sponsor partnerships. He began his career selling high yield securities to institutional accounts at firms such as Smith Barney, Morgan Stanley and Kidder Peabody. His relationships cover mutual funds, insurance companies, banks and alternative asset managers throughout the US. He has successfully raised funds for private equity firms as well as many mid-cap companies. Mr. Foley graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and an MBA from Northeastern University.

Mr. Foley has also served as an elected Town Councilman from New Canaan, CT.  He is currently a Police Commissioner for New Canaan and was previously a Fire Commissioner. Mr. Foley is also a Trustee for the Congregational Church of New Canaan

Michael Barenboym – President, Baren-Boym Company

Michael Barenboym came to America from Russia where he mastered the field of physical science. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Technology with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Prior to founding the Baren-Boym Company in 1997  he worked in the medical device industry in both senior engineering and managerial positions. His achievements have resulted in numerous inventions in the medical device industry. Under Michael’s leadership, the Baren-Boym Company has successfully completed hundreds of engineering projects and has received multiple design excellence awards for superior product design. His entrepreneurial skills have allowed him to develop and successfully license several medical and consumer products. He also co-founded Absolute Air Shafts, Inc in 1999; Innovative Surgical, LLC in 2000; and Wadsworth Medical Technologies, Inc in 2006.

Ann Corcoran – President, AMC Healthcare Solutions

Ann is the President of AMC Healthcare Solutions, Inc. where she provides strategic
business consulting to companies in the insurance, biopharmaceutical and managed healthcare markets. She has over 20 years of experience supporting medical cost containment and patient engagement organizations in the health insurance, pharmaceutical, workers compensation and disability sectors. Ann’s focus is assisting founders and owners developing growth and exit strategies, as well as providing guidance on healthcare business strategy, business development, marketing, client relations and product development.

Ann assists private equity investors in conducting diligence and holds several Board level positions, including currently serving as Board Observer at Priority Care Solutions, Inc., Tampa, FL, past Board Director of Social Security Advocates for the Disabled, Inc. in Norwell, MA, and past Advisor for Lindy, Inc., Kendall Square, Cambridge, MA.

Thomas Bordner – Founder and Principal, BIPLaw

Thomas J. Bordner, BIPLaw Founder and Principal, has more than 17 years of experience in the intellectual property arena. His legal acumen is enhanced by a client’s side perspective, gained from nearly a decade as Director of Intellectual Property for a Fortune 250 multinational pharmaceutical company. Previously, he was an associate with specialized boutique biotech patent law firm.

Tom’s broad knowledge and experience rivals that of peers in larger law firms. He’s helped clients solve challenges in all aspects of IP acquisition, protection, enforcement, and licensing, from both an in-house perspective as well as that of outside counsel. More specifically, he has led the development of international patent and other types of intellectual property portfolios, and created enforcement strategies for new products in the biotech, biopharmaceutical, diagnostic, and medical device fields. This work includes conducting IP audits and numerous due diligence investigations running into the billions of dollars. He has negotiated various types of intellectual property related agreements, created out-licensed patent portfolios, led contested proceedings and European oppositions. Additionally, he’s overseen worldwide copyright issues for a global company.

Eugene Buff – Founder and President, Primary Care Innovation Consulting

Dr. Eugene Buff is a Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP) and Certified Licensing Professional (CLP) with over twenty years of combined scientific, consulting and management experience. He has substantial expertise in a wide variety of industries, including but not limited to healthcare, biotechnology, medical devices, consumer products, materials and chemical manufacturing.

Dr. Buff is a Founder and President of Primary Care Innovation Consulting (PCIC), a new type of innovation management and business development firm supporting companies’ growth through open innovation. PCIC provides technology strategy consulting for both large and small companies globally and has unique access to cutting edge innovation at universities, incubators and accelerators worldwide. Dr. Buff also designs and delivers variety of training and educational programs on entrepreneurship, technology scouting and technology commercialization.

Ennio Carboni -Business Leader, SaaS & Sales, SevOne (A Brain Venture Company)

Ennio is currently SVP for SaaS and WW Inside Sales at SevOne, a Bain Ventures company.   Ennio has almost thirty years of experience managing in GM/President, product leadership and chief revenue officer roles but is most proud of his work as a culture builder and leader.   Ennio’s specialty is in company reinvention with go to market strategies that take the complex and make it simple.  Previously, Ennio led Critical Systems (MedStar), a healthcare provider to new heights of revenue and Ipswitch Inc. Software where he lead the growth of the network management business from 8m to over 45M with a $5k ASP and high velocity transactions.   Ennio’s philosophy can best be described by quotes from Peter Drucker, “Culture always trumps strategy” and from the book Good to Great – “right people in the right seats on the right bus”.    Ennio received his masters from NU in 1993 in General Management and a BS from NU in Criminology.
