Northeastern University Parking
Parking Information

Northeastern University is continuing to complete various capital projects that are part of our Master Plan.
These projects will have a minor impact on parking capacity during the academic year.

The Ryder lot will be temporarily closed until further notice.

Purchasing a Parking Permit

Prior to the start of each academic year or semester/quarter, faculty, staff and students can apply for a parking permit on line. Permit applications are usually available sometime during the week prior to the start of each semester or quarter.

You will need your 9 digit NU ID NUMBER starting with 000 in order to apply for parking.  You can find your NU ID number on your MYNEU account.

Faculty and Staff may purchase a parking permit each semester, or annually. However, the cost of a semester permit(s) cannot be applied toward the purchase of an annual permit if purchased later in the year. (All Full-time & benefit eligible employees will be required to purchase a Day Faculty/Staff permit regardless of whether they are working 2nd or 3rd shift.)

Full-time benefits eligible employees are required to pay through pre-tax payroll deductions. Individual employees are responsible for paying the parking fees. Parking fees for employees or outside vendors/contractors/volunteers cannot be charged to a University budget center or procard.

Full-time Day Undergraduate, Graduate and Law students can purchase a parking permit on a semester/quarter basis. Part-time Evening School of Professional and Continuing Studies & Lowell Institute students can purchase an annual permit, which is valid for the current academic year. The cost of the annual part-time Evening Student permit cannot be applied to the purchase of a day student semester permit if purchased later in the year.

Student parking fees will be charged to the student's tuition account.

Permits are non-refundable/non exchangeable.
