Office of Prevention and Education at Northeastern (OPEN)

The Office of Prevention and Education at Northeastern, provides education, consultation and programming on topics related to alcohol and other drugs and sexual violence prevention. OPEN provides supportive, non-judgmental ‘check in’ services for Northeastern students related to drinking and drug use. OPEN works in conjunction with the Violence Support, Intervention and Outreach Network (ViSION) to coordinate sexual violence prevention and programming efforts. OPEN is a resource to all students looking for information about wellness.

The OUEC is responsible for investigating and resolving all complaints of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation at Northeastern. Violence Support, Intervention, and Outreach Network (ViSION)

The Violence Support, Intervention, and Outreach Network is a network of campus partners focused on providing coordinated response services for survivors of interpersonal violence as well as prevention and education for the Northeastern community. If you or someone you care about has experienced interpersonal violence, the Sexual Violence Resource Center can serve as a starting point. Staff in the office can help explain available options and help you to quickly access services.

The We Care program is a support system that aids students when significant issues arise that impede their success. We Care assists departments in dealing with student crisis and provides information to faculty and staff who request guidance in identifying existing Northeastern resources and policies that can help students succeed.
