The Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution is committed to enhancing the academic mission of the university by creating and maintaining a safe, positive and productive living and learning community.
Through our programs and services, we are committed to the following:
- Enforcement of the code of student conduct, as created by student, faculty and staff members of the university community.
- To be fair, consistent, and just and to treat each individual with dignity and respect through the administration of the disciplinary process.
- To promote and instill the values of civility and good citizenship; specifically, respect for self, respect for others, and respect for established community standards of behavior.
- To provide a community free of intimidation, harassment or unfair treatment on the basis of race, religion, national origin, age, gender, sexual orientation, disability or veterans status.
- To provide student leadership opportunities though involvement in the judicial, mediation, and student ethical development programs offered.
- To provide students with life-long skills necessary for positive and productive conflict management.
- To provide educational programs and activities that serve the university community in preventing violations of the Code of Student Conduct.
- Finally, we are committed to the holistic development of the student through programs that provide opportunities for ethical development, development of conflict management/resolution skills, and an understanding and appreciation for standards of community behavior.
