Services for International Students and Scholars

Welcome International Students and Scholars!

Northeastern University hosts over 11,700 international students and scholars from 140 different nations across the world.

The Office of Global Services (OGS) is an active resource for Northeastern University’s community of international students, scholars, and their families. We provide professional expertise and support from the time of admission to after graduation.  Our staff’s commitment ensures that our community maintains compliance through their immigration, academic, and employment experiences. The OGS collaborates with students, scholars, and other offices at Northeastern to enhance the international character of the university. We help our community build connections and share their values and stories across the university and throughout Boston.

*Notice for ALL International students, scholars, and faculty regarding travel.

Northeastern University requires all students, and highly recommends all faculty and staff, to enter their travel itinerary and housing accommodations into “My Travel Plans,” also called the traveler registry.

This allows the university to communicate directly with travelers if unexpected events or conditions create circumstances that might pose health or safety risks. In addition, it enables on-campus resources and external support providers to better respond to students, faculty, and staff who may need medical or security assistance.

Greetings Huskies!

The Office of Global Services (OGS) is heading to India for our annual Jumpstart program which provides incoming international students with an opportunity to interact with staff, faculty and peers prior to joining Northeastern in the Fall.

Join us for an exciting volunteer opportunity - Jumpstart Programs in Mumbai, New Delhi and Hyderabad!

Help us engage with the incoming international students by congratulating them on their acceptance to Northeastern University and helping them prepare for their transition to the US. This is a great way to spread the word about your experience as a Northeastern student.

We are looking for volunteers to help with check-in for incoming students, greet and mingle with the new students, and possibly sit on a student panel after the new students end the program.

The dates and times for the programs are as following:

Mumbai: June 17th, 2017, 10am - 1pm

Delhi - June 19th, 2017, 6pm - 9pm

Hyderabad - June 21, 2017, 7pm - 10pm

If you are interested in attending the program, please send Devina Raithatha an email - with your information.

*Please note that OGS will not cover your expenses of attending or cost of transportation to and from the event.
