COVID-19 Update
In response to COVID-19, the Ocean Genome Legacy Center is currently operating remotely. While we are able to respond to inquiries, material requests cannot be fully processed until we return to normal business operations. The Ocean Genome Legacy Center

In Memory of Donald G. Comb
1927–2020
We at Ocean Genome Legacy sadly mark the passing of Donald G. Comb, our visionary founder. We will miss you dearly, Don.
The Don Comb Research Co-op Fund
Established in his memory, the Don Comb Research Co-op Fund at the Ocean Genome Legacy (OGL) Center provides undergraduate students with real-world research experience, from forming research questions and designing experiments, to conducting lab work, analyzing data, and presenting results. The OGL program gives students an extraordinary and highly challenging educational experience, including the opportunity to contribute as a co-author to peer-reviewed scientific publications, an achievement few undergraduates can claim. It is a fitting tribute to Don Comb, a man with a passion for science and the sea, and a commitment to inspiring young scientists to help create a better world. We would like to thank Eileen and Robert Matz for their initial gift of $50,000 to establish this fund in Don’s memory. Please join them in helping to keep his commitment alive by making a gift today.
