“Black History Matters” – Africana Studies & JDOAAI

February 2, 2021 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm

Black History
The Africana Studies Program and the John. D. O’Bryant African American Institute present their Spring 2021 mixer as a continuation of our series “The Fight to be Heard, Seen, and Understood.” The mixer was inspired by a Town Hall the Institute held for Black students where they expressed they wanted more opportunities to meet Black faculty and staff on campus. This semester, the theme of the mixer is Black History Matters – we will be sharing creative works inspired by Black History Month, discussing Black History together, and decompressing with some great conversation. The event will take place on February 2, 2020, from 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM EST over Zoom.
