Northeastern University hosts over 6,500 international students and scholars from 140 different nations across the world.

The International Student and Scholar Institute (ISSI) is committed to being an active resource to the university’s community of international students, scholars and their families. We provide professional expertise and support from the time of admission to beyond graduation.

Our staff is committed to providing professional expertise and advice to ensure that our students maintain compliance through their immigration, academic and employment experiences.

The ISSI collaborates with students, scholars and other offices at Northeastern to enhance the international character of the university, and to help our students build connections and share their values and stories across the university and throughout Boston. We want to ensure that you will always feel comfortable here and call northeastern your home away from home.
