The BlackBerry Enterprise Services allows access from supported mobile devices to the Northeastern Faculty/Staff e-mail system, for e-mail, calendaring, contact and task information.
Functionality/Benefits
The BlackBerry Enterprise Service enables users to wirelessly connect to their Northeastern e-mail, calendar and tasks via their BlackBerry handheld device. This highly available and feature-rich service runs on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) 4.1 from Research in Motion and provides users with efficient mobile access to e-mail, calendar, attachments, contacts, and more.
BlackBerry Enterprise Services include:
- Push-based wireless access to Microsoft Exchange e-mail, calendar, contacts.
- Wireless activation
- Triple DES and AES encryption that helps ensure the confidentiality and integrity of wirelessly transmitted information

- Support for up to 10 IMAP accounts
