- Information Security Regulation and Policy Compliance — research and analysis of pending and passed legislation, implications for the University community, and supporting policies along with documentation and training
- Security Patches and Updates — all centrally-managed Microsoft Windows and Apple MacOS client computers are protected by automated security patching and operating system updates
- Virus Protection — all centrally-managed workstations in labs and in faculty/staff offices are provided with automated Symantec antivirus protection, Symantec is also available for free download and use on personal computers to all students through myNEU
