Northeastern University Student Health Plan (NUSHP)

Northeastern University Student Health Plan is administered by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. This high quality care is available anywhere in the world, with low cost co-pays and an extensive list of treatment and specialty providers. Student’s who have comparable health insurance coverage, may choose to waive NUSHP. To learn more about the waiver process, please visit the NUSHP website.

Membership Identification Number

You can access your Northeastern University Student Health Plan (NUSHP) member ID number by accessing your Verification of Coverage Letter, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log into your MyNortheastern account.
  2. Type “NUSHP” in the search bar at the top and click on the link and it will direct you to the Gallagher website.
  3. Under “Profile” click “Sign Up”.
  4. Scroll down and under “Account Details”
  5. Click on “Verification of Coverage” this will bring up your Verification of Coverage letter.

**Please note that your full member ID number includes the prefix “NUQ”.

Well Connection

Students enrolled in the Northeastern University Student Health Plan (NUSHP) automatically have access to Well Connection’s medical and mental health online telehealth services. As of March 21, 2020, Well Connection has waived the standard $10 co-pay for a visit. This fee waiver will remain in place through 2022. Any student on NUSHP within the U.S. may seek medical or mental health support through Well Connection at no cost  with any mobile or desktop device.

24 hour Nurse Hotline

A 24/7 Nurse Hotline (1.888.247.2583) is available for free to all NUSHP members and offers a safe and convenient resource for minor ailments or questions.
