Summer 2021 Updates



University Health and Counseling Services is continuing its efforts to serve our Northeastern community and is committed to attending to the concerns and needs of our students. We are available for medical and mental health telehealth appointments for students residing in Massachusetts. Call us at 617.373.2772. Immediate mental health support remains accessible to students through  Find@Northeastern at 877.233.9477 (U.S.), +1.781.457.7777 (Int’l),  24-hours a day, seven days a week.



Should you or someone you know have a medical or mental health emergency, please call NUPD at 617.373.3333 (or 911 off-campus) or go to your nearest Emergency Department. Faculty and staff with immediate student concerns, please contact NUPD or to learn more visit



Limited in-person medical visits are available by appointment only.

Medical services are available via phone, video and in person by appointment only for students residing in Massachusetts. Students who are outside of Massachusetts are encouraged to reach out to their primary care or local medical provider.


Mental health services and  support groups will be available via phone and video for students currently residing in Massachusetts. Students residing outside of Massachusetts are encouraged to contact Find@Northeastern.


Currently, UHCS is not accepting walk-in appointments. To speak with a clinician, please call 617-373-2772 to set up a telephone or video appointment.


The university has identified a variety of quiet spaces where students can study and have private conversations. If you have an appointment with UHCS and would like to find a private space, please review the study spaces website to see availability.


In accordance with the MA Department of Public Health announcement (1/15/2021), the flu vaccination is no longer required for students. However getting your flu vaccine is still strongly encouraged as we protect from both the flu and it could decrease symptoms that could be confused with COVID-19. For more information about the recommendation of a flu vaccine, please visit MA Department of Public Health.



The University has developed a comprehensive website dedicated to COVID-19. We encourage you to review this website with questions regarding the latest updates, information and FAQs.
