Women in Entrepreneurship

On Friday, September 21st, Northeastern University Toronto and Women in Capital Markets hosted a networking breakfast focused on entrepreneurship and finance. The event featured Sheila Puffer, University Distinguished Professor in the D’Amore-McKim School of Business, along with her sister, Marlene Puffer, President and CEO of CN Investment Division. Prof. Puffer presented an overview of her recently published book Hammer and Silicon: The Soviet Diaspora in the US Innovation Economy. Marlene, meanwhile, discussed her experiences in the Canadian capital markets on fixed income trading floors, in asset and pension management, and as a board trustee and chair of the investment committee of a large public pension plan.
