Deborah Berwaldt 

PROJECT MANAGER

Deborah Berwaldt serves as the Project Manager for the Toronto Campus.  Based in Boston, she is the liaison between the Boston and Toronto campuses.  Deborah provides project management support developing enhancements to a broad range of university systems to enable international operations.

Deborah’s career spans seventeen plus years in higher education.  She avidly supports continuing education and the ongoing professional development of knowledge and expertise.

Deborah earned a master of science in public administration, a bachelor of science in health care management, and is currently working on a graduate certificate in project management.

Rue Quizon

CAMPUS OPERATIONS MANAGER

Rue Quizon provides overall management of the Toronto campus facility including business operations, IT, finance, HR, events, student and visitor services. She ensures that the campus runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis.

Rue earned her bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Geography from Carleton University. Prior to joining Northeastern, Rue has worked in Ottawa, Africa, and the Middle East. She is an avid traveler, a ukulele enthusiast, and enjoys a good cup of coffee. Rue is currently pursuing her Master’s in Project Management through Northeastern.

Marlise Nishikihama

MARKETING AND PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER

Marlise’s 15+ years of digital and traditional marketing experience comes from positions that cross a variety of organizations and industries, including media (Canwest, Rogers), telcos (Worldlynx, Bell, Bell Aliant), finance (Scotiabank), advertising (Capital C), a failed start-up (SceneCaster), high tech (Microsoft, HP), not-for profit (Public Services Health & Safety Association, Endeavour Volunteer Consulting for Non-Profits )and most recently, managed services (Day 2 Mobility).  Together, these positions and organizations have enabled her to gain experience in all facets of B2B and B2C marketing and communications:  developing go-to-market plans and brand strategies, strategic alliances and partnerships, brand and content development, sponsorship and event management, and new service/product introduction, to name a few.

Evan Clarke

STUDENT SERVICES SPECIALIST

Evan is the main point of contact for students at the Toronto campus, helping them to get access to the information and resources that they need.

Prior to coming to Northeastern, Evan taught philosophy at Boston College, where he earned a doctorate in 2014.
