|This May 17-20, Jane Street is excited to host our SEE program. We are inviting first- and second-year college students to spend four days learning more about what we do and how we do it through mentorship, programming, mock trading, classroom lectures, and activities.Selected students will arrive in New York the evening of May 16th and will depart the morning of May 21st. Jane Street will provide all travel to and from New York, housing, a variety of social events throughout the week and a $500 stipend. Our office is located in Brookfield Place and the hotel where you’ll be staying is just a few blocks from the office.Attendees participating in the trading program will learn about mathematical and financial topics—including probability, market structure, and arbitrage—through a combination of short lectures, group games, and mock trading sessions. These activities are structured to provide a broad overview of our work, and there will be plenty of opportunities for close interaction with our traders.Attendees participating in the business development program will explore a broad variety of Infrastructure subgroups—including treasury, compliance, operations, and project consulting—to learn how we solve cross-departmental problems to support the firm’s growth. Case studies and problem-solving exercises will introduce participants to how we optimize funding and financing, set up new trading flows, respond to regulatory inquiries, and generally manage the complex mechanics that underlie Jane Street’s business. This program will give attendees a glimpse into the work that goes on in our business development internship and Rotational Development Program.No prior knowledge of finance is required for this event—just intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in what a career at Jane Street might look like.Students interested in attending should apply below.|

Applications for the DE Shaw Group’s Nexus fellowship, happening in March, are now open! Sophomores from all academic disciplines are welcome to apply. Prior finance experience isn’t required.
For a bit of background, these fellowships are unique educational programs that give students insight into the firm and industry. During these three-day virtual events, fellows will:

• Hear from senior firm leaders and recent hires about their experiences and career paths
• Connect with other students from schools across the country
• Receive a $1,500 stipend

Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Program in Biopreservation Technologies
- NSF Engineering Research Center for Advanced Technologies for the Preservation of Biological Systems
Students come from all around the country to engage in exciting cutting edge research with the technology’s greatest experts in biopreservation and cryobiology! Students have a diverse range of majors, experiences, and interests. We hope that you will consider joining us this summer.
REU students will work in a university research lab on a project related to ATP-Bio’s science and technology along with a faculty advisor and graduate student mentor. Each student has a project of their own with specific responsibilities and deliverables. The program features professional and skill development opportunities, as well as social activities.
Dates: June 7 – August 13, 2021
Locations: UMN (virtual) and MGH (in-person)
Duration: 10 weeks

Northeastern University’s Women Who Empower Initiative
We are very excited to announce our first ever Women who Empower Innovation Awards for Spring 2021. We are seeking applications for one-time grants of up to $12,500 for members of the Northeastern universe who are passionate about innovation and community, and would benefit from financial support to develop and advance their entrepreneurial endeavors. LEED Training Special – Boston – Fall Online Webinars
LeadingGreen is hosting LEED Green Associate Training Webinars. LEED is simply a sustainability scorecard for green buildings. Buildings can become LEED Certified as can people! The best way to break into the sustainability space is to attain the LEED Green Associate. It also shows employers and clients you have certified knowledge in the field.
