As an Individual

Check out books or DVDs, We have a SJRC library you should check out. You can also recommend new ones we should add! Just email us: sjrc@northeastern.edu.

Take a social justice-related class. You are here to study, so why not select at least one course that will expand your understanding of people who have identities you do not, or history and policy that shaped current systems?

Work at the SJRC. You can apply to be an SJRC student worker if you’re eligible for federal work study. If you’re working on a masters degree or a recent Northeastern graduate, you can apply to be a graduate assistant.

Attend SJRC events, but also other ones hosted by student groups, other departments and local community groups!

Join a student group! Their are tons of great ones on campus.

Grab a paint brush (you can come by to use ours) to create protest art. We’ll display it in our Gallery of Dissent! The Gallery of Dissent is a rotating gallery in the SJRC displaying works showing a few of the many issues that students on campus care about. Note: offensive, hateful or profane content will not be posted.

Write a 200-250 word thought piece. We’ll publish it in the “Voices of Conscience” section of our newsletter so we can learn more about the social justice issues you care about! Note: offensive, hateful or profane content cannot be circulated.

Come hang out with us in the SJRC or study here! We’d love to have you around.
