November 20, 2013 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Invested-DevelopmentJoin the Social Enterprise Institute as we welcome Miguel Granier, Founder and Managing Director of Invested Development in his guest lecture entitled, “Impact Investing in Development: Scaling Alt. Energy, Mobile Tech & Agriculture.”

Invested Development is an impact investment management firm that supports radically affordable and innovative solutions to poverty in the alternative energy, mobile technology, and agricultural technology space.

ID recently raised $20M USD to launch the BSP Fund, a portfolio which supports for-profit social enterprises such as Promethean Power Systems – a company that designs and manufcatures rural refrigeration systems for commercial cold-storage applications in emerging markets.

In his talk, Mr. Granier will discuss the challenges he faces as a social entrepreneur in the fast growing impact investing space, his vision for the BSP Fund, and why he believes investing in clean, mobile, ag tech will change the way we do business in the global south.
