Your myNEU password MUST contain:
- Minimum of 10 characters
- One uppercase character
- One lowercase character
- One numeric character
- One special character
Passwords may NOT contain:
- NUID
- First name
- Last name
- Full name
- myNEU username
- myNEU email address
Pro Tip: Longer passwords are better than complex short passwords.
Create long passwords from common words that are easy to remember but hard for a computer to guess.
For example: Black.cats.are.bad.luck.4.me!
For example: Redsoxmixerfoxrider6#
This phrase is easy to remember but will take a computer an unreasonable amount of time to guess.
(Do not use this example – now that it’s posted on the Internet, you can bet thieves will try to use it to access a myNEU account!)
