The Seattle Campus

Northeastern is proud to be Washington State’s first private research university.

The establishment of Northeastern University in Seattle resulted from two years of in-depth discussions between the university and the Seattle community. Research revealed that Northeastern’s strengths in graduate education and research uniquely align with the region’s economic development and workforce needs.

The Seattle regional campus, launched in 2013, is located in South Lake Union—an epicenter for innovation and discovery. Home to a wide variety of companies and institutions that share the university’s vision, South Lake Union serves as a hub for cutting-edge thought leaders who inspire, create, and execute on new technologies and research daily.
