CYBER SECURITY EVENT FOR ALL SKILL LEVELS
The Pink Elephant Unicorn capture-the-flag competition is returning to Seattle on February 1 and 2, 2019. This fun and engaging event is open to anyone interested in learning more about cyber security, regardless of skill or experience level. Cyber professionals will be on site to teach tutorials for beginners (see registration page for details).
SOLVE PUZZLES, CAPTURE THE FLAG, HONE YOUR SKILLS
This year’s event will be NICE—meaning challenges are tailored to the NIST National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) Framework, exposing participants to real-world tasks, specialties, and work roles in cyber security. Participants can expect two days of fun and learning designed to:
- Develop new skills. By solving cyber puzzles and working clue to clue, you learn what makes a computer system vulnerable, how attackers infiltrate complex networks, and how to defend these systems.
- Collaborate and exchange knowledge. As part of a team, you will work to capture the cyber flag, sharing knowledge as you work and learn with your teammates. Teams will be formed on site to balance novice with experienced players.
- Have fun. Make new friends, try new tools, consult with subject matter experts, and navigate through challenging and stimulating cyber obstacles.
