Civic Boot Camp: International Influence of Sea-Tac Airport
9:00am - 4:30pm
Civic Boot Camps are a program of Seattle CityClub.
Our next Civic Boot Camp is coming up! This Civic Boot Camp, “Sea-Tac Airport, Building Bridges to the World,” focuses on international travel, trade and immigration and takes place from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM on Friday, December 7th.
Participants will get an inside look at the airport’s operations and hear from Port of Seattle and community leaders. The agenda includes:
– A presentation from Lance Lyttle, the Airport Director, on the challenges and opportunities of managing one of the fastest growing airports in the U.S.
– Panel discussions on international travel, air cargo operations and the Welcoming Port initiative (to welcome immigrants and refugees)
– A walking tour of the new (under construction) International Arrivals Facility and a bus tour to the air cargo operations facility (next to the runways).
Registration for the Airport Civic Boot Camp is now open at our website here.
With underwriting from the Port of Seattle, the registration is only $30, which covers lunch, snacks, tours and presentations.
