Northeastern University’s Graduate Certificate in Security and Resilience Studies will help students develop the critical thinking skills needed to address a broad range of transnational risks impacting the build and natural environment, and discover the principles, policies, and strategies required to protect communities and critical systems. Students can integrate their academic coursework with unique experiential learning opportunities and gain competencies to support government agencies, international corporations, and nonprofit organizations. In the program, students will learn from experts, including the program’s co-directors Stephen Flynn and Daniel Aldrich, whose shared decades of experience span systems resilience, homeland security, post-disaster recovery, and countering violent terrorism.

The Graduate Certificate is offered in a hybrid option in both Boston and Seattle. Students at the Seattle campus will be provided with special face-to-face learning opportunities.
