Steve graduated from Northeastern University in 1974 and began his career as a Field Project Manager with General Electric’s Power Division and attended GE’s Management Training Program. He joined Foster-Miller in 1978 where he managed technology research projects for both government agencies and commercial clients and advanced product development in areas such as controls, sensors, instrumentation, materials and robotics. His 32 year track record at Foster Miller involved responsibility and direction for all phases of building engineering business groups including establishing strategic plans, business development, planning/executing customer and internally funded research programs, transitioning R&D to products and manufacturing and marketing. Steve served as Chief Operating Officer from 2003-2010 overseeing all business and support groups with full P&L responsibility. He now teaches engineering leadership at NUs Gordon Engineering Leadership Program, is a member of the Launchpad Venture Group, and advises start-ups.
