Dr. Mallipeddi received his bachelors in Pharmacy from Manipal University, India in 2010. He then moved to Boston to complete his Masters in Pharmacology in 2012, followed by Phd in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Northeastern University in 2016. His thesis work focused on the characterization of two G-protein coupled receptors namely, Cannabinoid 1 and Cannabinoid 2 receptors using biochemical and biophysical methods. He then briefly worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Center for Drug Discovery, Boston, focused on the development of mass spectrometric methods for the quantitation of neurotransmitters in murine microdialysis samples. He currently works as Staff Scientist at Glycosyn LLC, a biotechnology company developing products based on unique bioactive sugars found in human milk, sugars collectively called Human Milk Oligosaccharides (hMOS). His research interests include gene editing, protein expression and bio-analytical techniques. He also currently serves as an ad-hoc reviewer for a number of peer-reviewed journals including Protein Expression and Purification, Molecules and Scientific Reports.
