Rahul Sen is the R&D Group Lead and Principal Scientist at Nantero, Inc. where he is leading the development of carbon nanotube formulations and films for Nantero’s NRAM and other electronic applications. He is the lead inventor of the microelectronics grade carbon nanotube spin-on formulation and film that led to the first ever introduction of carbon nanotubes into a production semiconductor foundry. In addition to leading technical projects to solve extremely demanding materials issues and generating novel IP, he is also playing a key role in developing the supply chain network of ultra-high purity carbon nanotube into semicondcutor foundries. He has 18 granted US patents, 20+ published patent applications and 25+ research papers in scientific journals. He received his Ph. D. in Materials Science from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1998 and completed post-doctoral work at Tokyo Metropolitan University (TMU) and University of California, Riverside (UCR) before joining Nantero in 2003. His areas of interests include nano-materials for electronics, energy, and medical device applications, technology management and product strategy. He recently graduated from the executive MBA program at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business, which is an accelerated MBA program for mid-to-senior level managers with 10+ years of experience.
