MJK Partners, LLC
Myron is the Managing Director of MJK Partners, LLC and provides strategic and transaction advisory services focused on the license and/or sale of new technologies, IP and startup companies. He has completed hundreds of transactions including licensing technologies that ship in 100s of millions of devices and the sale of more than thirty-five patent portfolios. He advises startups on strategic investments & partnerships as well as sales to strategic acquirers.
Myron brings a strong business perspective and base of transactional experience to client engagements with a proven track record of getting deals done. Over his 30-plus year career – he has been a co-founder or part of the management team of multiple startups (AVS, InfoPlus, Howtek, Edsun Labs, Trellix, Lanthorn Technologies) and held senior executive positions at Fidelity and Kodak. From 2004-2008 he led technology out-licensing efforts at Mitsubishi Electric’s Research Labs (MERL) in Cambridge where he licensed the Saffron font technology to Macromedia for Flash and to Monotype Imaging. From 2008-2014, Myron was a Partner at Pluritas, LLC a San Francisco-based boutique IP advisory and transactions firm.
Myron has been active in the Boston tech community as a Board and Executive Committee Member of the Mass Interactive Media Council (now MITX), a co-founder of the MIT Enterprise Forum Energy SIG and Ignite Clean Energy competition, the Boston and National chapters of the Licensing Executives Society where he co-chaired the Clean Tech committee and currently serves on the Steering Committee of the McCarthy(s) Venture Mentoring Network at Northeastern representing the College of Social Sciences and Humanities.
In local community involvement, Myron represents the Town of Belmont on the Logan Community Advisory Committee and the Massport Community Advisory Committee where he is the Treasurer. He has served on the Public Information Planning and Implementation Group, the Information Technology Advisory Committee, the Belmont Media Center where he was President, the Cable Television Advisory Committee as well as representing his precinct at Town Meeting.< Back to All Judges
