Michael Vallee has been an Associate Professor at the University Pierre and Marie Curie, Sorbonne University, Paris, France, since September 2008. Prior to this, he held a tenure-track position at the University of Avignon for six years. His research interests span both semantics and translation.
He is co-author of Making Sense; Méthodologie pour l’explication des faits de langue (Editions du Temps, 2004), and the author of several papers on English and French connectors and translation.
Michael Vallee was appointed as the Higher Education Officer at the Consulate General of France in Boston in September 2016. He is in charge of establishing and building relationships between American Universities and French Institutions and developing partnerships that encourage American students and researchers from New-England to study and conduct research in France.
