Ms. Kelley is a senior engineer and groundwater modeler in CDM Smith’s Water Resources Division. In 2016, she accepted a new position as R&D Coordinator for CDM Smith’s internal R&D program. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master’s degree in Water Resources and Environmental Engineering and holds a Professional Engineering license in Environmental Engineering in Massachusetts. At CDM Smith, Ms. Kelley has provided modeling and technical support on several groundwater remediation and litigation cases, and likens this aspect of her job to C.S.I. for groundwater. Most recently, she has been a strong advocate of applying 3D visualization techniques to groundwater conceptual site models and numerical model development. Ms. Kelley has also worked on several projects in the Republic of Singapore to related to the design and management of a major new drinking water reservoir in the downtown area of the city. Ms. Kelley has also performed coastal engineering analyses used to update the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA’s) flood insurance program maps for New England communities. From 2009-2016, Ms. Kelley developed and led the “CDM Smith Cares” program, an initiative designed to facilitate, support, and promote the company’s community outreach activities. She has served on the Boston Society of Civil Engineering Section’s Freeman Committee since 2009.
