John currently splits his time between leading the Connected Health strategy and technology innovation consultancy at Mobile Integrity and the Digital Health human interpretation business at Healthy Context. Both of these entail helping healthcare providers, medical device manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies, define and commercialize mHealth applications, Internet of Things wireless enablement of medical and consumer OTC devices, patient home therapies, clinician dashboards and big data analytics. Beyond harnessing new Digital Health technologies, John works extensively to integrate lean innovation methods for agile product definition / development and deep human behavior insights (leveraging a team of PhD level social scientists / physicians) to the customer discovery and user experience design process.
The balance of John’s 20+ years of experience includes executive and product innovation roles within 7 startup ventures involving mobile, web/cloud and digital media technologies. This includes serving as co-founder and VP of Marketing at mobile media platform provider, Azuki Systems (acquired by Ericsson) as well as various roles at wireless and service infrastructure providers Tatara Systems, Intraplex (acquired by Harris Corporation), Sycamore Networks and Microwave Radio (acquired by Adaptive Broadband).
John has both a technology innovation MBA and a BS in electrical engineering from Northeastern University. John is a board member and mentor at Northeastern’s Health Sciences Entrepreneurs program and an angel investor with Launchpad Venture Group.
