Jim works at Fikst, a product development and engineering firm that specializes in the development of medical technology. He is also a partner in a venture-creation group, developing technologies to address unmet or under-met clinical needs to spin out into start-ups. He is the founder of two companies, a virtual-based medical device company in the enteral feeding space, and a company that creates a wearable, quantified-self product for the running market. He gained start-up experience while working for Ocular Therapeutix (Originally I-Therapeutix) where he led the core team and managed the development group responsible for the company’s first commercial product, the ReSure bandage. He started his career working for industry giants Medtronic and Boston Scientific. Mr. Biggins received his M.B.A degree from Babson College and his B.S. in Plastics Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
