Daniel Behr is CEO of SLIPS Technologies, a venture-funded Harvard spinoff commercializing advanced materials and coatings. Daniel is also co-founder of Rediscovery Life Sciences, a company developing new pharmaceuticals via drug repurposing, and a Director of the Institute for Biomedical Entrepreneurship. He brings over 25 years of experience moving innovations from lab to market in the life sciences and the physical sciences – mostly through his involvement in dozens of startups as serial entrepreneur, venture investor and technology transfer professional. He was a co-founder and Senior VP of Access BridgeGap Ventures, a Director of Technology Ventures at Allied Minds, and a Director of Business Development at Harvard University’s Office of Technology Development. Prior to that Daniel co-founded In-USA (ozone instrumentation), Compact Instruments (mass spectrometers), Arradiance (atomic layer deposition) and Seed Partners (seed-stage angel fund). Before starting his first company, Daniel was a Consultant at Bain & Co. and a Materials Research Engineer at Albany International. He holds an engineering degree from Georgia Tech and an MBA from the Harvard Business School, and he speaks Spanish and German.
