Ben is responsible for application and infrastructure architecture at Wellington Management. He manages a team of senior architects who cover software, database, network, servers, desktop, mobile, and security architecture. His team sets the strategic technical direction for the firm: researching new technologies, and assisting development and engineering teams with building systems that meet the highest objectives of scalability, resiliency, performance, and security. Prior to his role as an enterprise architect, Ben was the lead designer and architect for Wellington’s proprietary Trading system.
Prior to joining Wellington, Ben worked in other financial services firms as the lead architect for Foreign Exchange electronic trading platforms at JP Morgan Chase, the global CTO at Citco Group, and the chief architect for the Investment and Pension business unit of John Hancock. Ben started his career at Fidelity Investments, where he worked in production operations, and developed applications for customer account processing. Ben attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he majored in Manufacturing Engineering, and interned at Fidelity Investments.
In his spare time, Ben enjoys spending time with his family while sailing, ice and rock climbing, and restoring classic cars.
