Money. Seems like it’s the main problem of any industry, especially music. People are spending less on music, and more on clothes, shoes, technology, you name it. Instead of getting people to buy more products – how do we make money off the things that people will already buy? Our idea is “MusicPass,” a new way to bring revenue into the music industry through purchases customers already make in the marketplace. Our project statement states “MusicPass creates revenue for the music industry by enticing music lovers to buy more music related products. This can be accomplished by earning discounts and rewards from everyday purchases.” Though still in the early stages of inspiration, we look to use app-based technology mixed with credit reward systems in order to create a new revenue source for the music industry.
