Join the Senior Parents Campaign
At Northeastern, we are building on students’ unique strengths, inspiring their intellect and curiosity, and transforming them into lifelong learners. The Senior Parents Campaign is an initiative for you, parents of a senior graduating in May 2019, to celebrate your student’s journey on campus by supporting the university. We invite you to consider joining the Family Fellows Program to honor your student’s experience and celebrate the boundless opportunities ahead.
What is the Family Fellows Program?
Family Fellows play a crucial role in philanthropy at Northeastern. They commit $10,000 annually to support scholarships, co-op, research, student programming, and more.
Why should I give?
Families that make a gift in their students’ honor support the university that fostered their curiosity, nurtured their interests, and imparted the skills needed to succeed. As your student reflects on time spent at Northeastern, we hope you will make a difference for other students by directing a gift to an area of the university that is meaningful to you and your family.
Do Family Fellows enjoy benefits?
During a student’s senior year, Family Fellows enjoy a special graduation week with a Family Fellows event on Wednesday, May 1, and may reserve four special seating tickets for Commencement on Friday, May 3.
Where should I give?
Families choose to focus on areas of significance for their student. In the past, parents have supported scholarships, co-op, and Dean’s funds. We encourage you to include your student in philanthropic conversations to find the area that is most important to them.
This year, many families are supporting University Libraries’ efforts to digitize archival print and photographic data. Recently, Northeastern received a $500,000 grant for this effort. To secure these funds, we need to match the grant. Parents are also naming library study carrels to invest in student resources.
