Undergraduate Students Only
Join us for President Aoun’s official university welcome and induction ceremony for new students.
There are two ceremonies: one at 10:00 a.m. and one at 2:00 p.m. Students are assigned to a ceremony based on their residence. Remember to wear your Convocation t-shirt!
All new students will meet and participate in the Convocation March to Matthews Arena and will be seated for the ceremony with students from their respective residence. Transfer students not residing on campus should attend the 2:00 p.m. ceremony.

Live Stream Access for Remote Learners
First-Year and N.U.in Boston students will receive Convocation t-shirts upon arrival at their Boston residence.
Transfer and Veteran students can pick up Convocation t-shirts at 104 Ell Hall:
- Thursday, September 2 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
- Friday, September 3 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.
- Saturday, September 4 from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Fall Fest is the perfect opportunity for you to learn more about the student organizations, campus departments, and sport and rec teams that make Northeastern a vibrant and special community!

Immerse yourself in everything that student life has to offer. Fall Fest World is the perfect opportunity for remote learners to learn more about the student organizations, campus departments, and sport and rec teams that make Northeastern a vibrant and special community!
This event occurs multiple times throughout the day to accommodate all time zones of our global community:
- 7:00 – 9:00 a.m. ET
- 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. ET
- 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. ET
Register for First Pages – Wednesday, September 8, 2021
Event starts at 8:00 p.m. at Matthews Arena. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., must be seated by 7:45 p.m.
Join us in welcoming First Pages author Yaa Gyasi as she discusses her book Transcendent Kingdom with the class of 2025. All first-year, transfer, and Honors students are required to pre-register for First Pages and participate in the author’s keynote presentation, either in Matthews Arena (in-person viewing with classmates) or virtually.
In-person viewing at Matthews Arena is mandatory for Honors students and on a first-come, first-serve basis for all other first-year and transfer students.
