Boston Police (BPD) will be directing traffic throughout the day in order to keep vehicles moving and prevent streets from being blocked. Certain streets will temporarily be made one-way for the day – see map.

Parking will be restricted to ONE hour. Volunteers will be issuing parking permits as space is available on each street. Once you unload you will need to move your vehicle to an overflow parking lot – see map. Avoid bringing large trucks. If you are moving out of your apartment, you will have the same ONE hour limit to load and then move your vehicle. No non-resident vehicles will be permitted to stay parked on the streets during the day on September 1.

North Lot is available for one additional hour to load/unload, or for vehicles that cannot reach their destination due to lack of on-street parking. Northeastern students may check out moving hampers in North Lot with proper government issued ID and Husky card. After one hour in North Lot, you must move your vehicle to Columbus Garage.

Strict enforcement of the ONE hour policy will be in effect. There will be a zero-tolerance policy for double-parking; violators may be ticketed/towed.

Information Table: located at the front entrance of the Asian American Center at 109 Hemenway Street from 8:30am-5:00pm. University Staff and volunteers will be available to answer questions, provide parking information and maps, and address move-in issues.

Trash: tenants moving out should have all of their trash out by Thursday, August 30th after 5pm for trash pickup on Friday, August 31st. There will also be trash pickups on September 1 and 2 for those moving in. Use the Boston Trash App to set a reminder! Do not block any fire hydrants when disposing of trash.

Report Non-Emergency Issues by calling 3-1-1, using the BOS:311 app, or tweeting @BOS311.
