Congratulations to our 2020 Community Husky Recipient, Yasser Aponte!

Through personal actions and service in the local Boston community, Yasser makes positive change that show he cares about his neighbors. Faculty describe Yasser as a very active member of their neighborhood associations and the BPDA’s PLAN meetings, contributing to the development of Boston from a community perspective. Yasser held information session panels for community residents and students to learn about development going on around campus and how it affects them. His genuine qualities of selflessness and helpfulness shine through in this example and in many others. He devotes much of his time to his community including serving as a volunteer at over 10 local organizations that bring positive change to Boston’s youth, residents, food system, housing and more.

Yasser was awarded the Community Husky Award on April 30th, 2020.  View the Student Life Awards here!
