Continuing their tradition of excellence, the Northeastern University Men’s Rugby Team has secured the final spot for the Collegiate Rugby Championship, which will be held in Philadelphia on June 1st and 2nd. This comes as a result of the hard work and dedication not only from the players, but also the alumni, and Northeastern University as a whole.
The CRC tournament is nationally televised by NBC and NBC Sports, and will take place across the span of the first weekend of June. Tickets are available for purchase here: usasevenscrc.com/tickets/
Without the support of the university, specifically the athletic department and athletic director Peter Roby, this enormous opportunity would not be possible. The Huskies would like to thank all those involved for the tremendous amount backing they have provided, and hopes to make the university proud at this event.
FONUR, the Northeastern rugby alumni organization, was also incredibly influential in helping the team get to where they are now. The alumni, in the “Maddog” tradition, came together and gave the team a staggering amount of support. The team would like to thank FONUR for all their hard work that helped Northeastern earn a bid at the tournament.
Once again, thank you to all who have been involved in bringing this together. With a little over three months to go before the tournament, the Huskies look forward to continuing their legacy of hard work and dedication.
