NANCY P. HANRAHAN, PHD, RN, FAAN
Dr. Nancy Hanrahan assumed the position of Professor and Dean of the School of Nursing and Associate Dean of the Bouvé College of Health Sciences effective July 2015. She is a national leader in psychiatric mental health nursing and known for her research documenting the psychiatric nurse workforce. She is an expert in system-level mental health services research. Additionally, Dr. Hanrahan leads the innovation and technology development program at Northeastern University School of Nursing. This program promotes nurses to be innovators and entrepreneurs who improve the healthcare experience of patients and families. She’s received national and international awards for development of innovative interventions.
Dr. Hanrahan received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, and her masters and doctoral degrees from Boston College, Chestnut Hill, MA. She completed a postdoctoral research fellowship at the Center for Health Outcomes and Policy Research at the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Nursing.
