Kathleen Hagan is an entrepreneur and founder of Hagan & Company a Boston, U.S.A., based international marketing consulting firm focused on early and growth stage ventures in: life sciences and medical technology, software and analytics, and robotics. Kathleen is known for her leadership in international marketing, business development and government affairs. Previously, she was Director of Foreign Trade for the Massachusetts Port Authority where she managed the Authority’s offices in London and Tokyo and developed international business for New England companies overseas. She was also District Office Director for U.S. Senator Edward W. Brooke, handling a wide range of policy issues regarding economic development and federal regulation of business. As a leader in entrepreneurial business management, Kathleen served as the Founding Director of the Northern Ireland Technology and Development Center, a venture center for innovative high growth technology firms in Northern Ireland. She has also led International Programs at Babson College, a school ranked #1 in entrepreneurship education for the past 15 years by US News and World Report. Earlier, she served as Director of the MIT Enterprise Forum, an entrepreneurship education program delivered in 25 cities in the US and globally. Kathleen is an author and speaker on international business and has testified before Congress on small business and international trade issues. Kathleen has taught Global Marketing Strategy at Babson College and Northeastern University. She is a robotics industry analyst and the author of the first comprehensive industry report on the Massachusetts robotics sector. As a graduate of Trinity College, Washington, D.C., Kathleen was awarded the McArdle Leadership Award. Her MBA, cum laude, is from Boston University, Boston, MA. Kathleen sits on several corporate, professional and nonprofit boards including Northeastern University’s Health Sciences Entrepreneurs Program and Core Systems, an Irish software company. She is also a Partner with a venture investment firm, CTM Ventures.
