Northeastern Marine Science Center (MSC)

The NU MONET is set for deployment at the Northeastern University Marine Science Center (MSC).  The MSC is located 45 minutes north north-east of Boston on the peninsula at historic East Point in Nahant, Massachusetts.

The network will be deployed 200 meters off the MSC’s private beach front at depths of 8 m between the Great Ledge and Shag Rocks. One node will remain fixed to the seafloor with a concrete mooring. The remaining nodes will be deployed for experimentation and can be removed when not in use.
