Visas

It is the student’s responsibility to obtain an appropriate visa, if necessary. If the student cannot obtain a valid visa in time for the program start date, then please refer to the N.U.in Withdrawal Policy and contact the N.U.in office to discuss next steps.

If applicable, certain documents needed for the student’s visa process will be provided by the home institution or host institution.

Passports

All N.U.in students will need a passport. Those who do not already have a passport should apply for one as soon as possible. U.S. citizens can find more information at the U.S. Department of State passport website. Passports must be valid for at least six months beyond the student’s scheduled program end date. International students should refer to their country’s passport-granting authority for more information.

Group Flight Travelers

More Group Flight information, including reservation forms and itineraries, will be available later in spring.

The N.U.in Program offers a Group Flight option for students to travel with their peers to and from their N.U.in location at the beginning and end of the program.

On arrival in their N.U.in location, students on the Group Flight will be picked up at the airport by buses and transported to the student residence. At the end of the program, students on the Group Flight will be shuttled from their student residence to their N.U.in location’s airport.

Baggage Allowance
Please review the guidelines on the airline website for more specific details on the baggage allowance of the Group Flight airline. It is the responsibility of the student to confirm the luggage policies of their airline(s).

Travel Information Form
To ensure the safety of all participants, ALL students must provide N.U.in with the details of their itinerary, whether they are flying on the Group Flight or independently.

Independent Travelers

If a student does not take the Group Flight option, they are responsible for their travel arrangements to and from their N.U.in location at the beginning and end of the program.

Group Flight Credit
Students who do not take any segment of the Group Flight will receive a flight credit. This credit will be posted to the student’s fall bill, and will be equal to the cost of one Group Flight airline ticket. If a student flies any segment of the Group Flight, they will not receive a credit. N.U.in students traveling separately must arrange their own transportation to their student residence and arrive on-site on the program start date.

On the last day of the program, N.U.in students may use the Group Flight’s shuttle service if their flight is departing around the same time as the Group Flight. Otherwise, independent travelers will be responsible for their own travel to the airport.

To ensure the safety of all participants, ALL students must provide N.U.in with the details of their itinerary, whether they are flying on the Group Flight or independently.
