This two-part series offers participants a hands-on opportunity to prepare a teaching statement for the academic job market. In the first session, participants will be introduced to elements of an effective teaching statement, and then engage in activities designed to kick-start the writing process. In the second session, participants will share working drafts of their statements, offer each other feedback and suggestions, and further refine their statements. Refreshments will be provided.
Preference will be given to participants who register for both Part I and Part II.

This event is intended to support graduate students in their roles as teaching assistants, course instructors, and future faculty. Post-docs are also welcome.
